Who is it right for?
The Killik & Co Executor Service is suited to any individual concerned about who will be responsible for all matters detailed in their Will after they have died.
An Executor is the person or body you select to deal with the administration of your estate.
The Executor’s duties are far reaching, ranging from responsibility for the immediate post-death formalities of your estate, as well as accounting to the beneficiaries in a timely manner. Where necessary, they will be responsible for settling any Inheritance Tax, Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax liabilities, as well as the sale and distribution of any assets, including the family home and its contents.
These actions will all be the responsibility of the Executor.
When writing your Will, you can state that Killik & Co are to be your Executors, either solely, jointly or in reserve (i.e. if no other person appointed wishes, or is able to act).
By entrusting your estate to Killik & Co, you can be sure that it will be handled by an expert in a professional and impartial manner ensuring that any potential conflicts of interest are completely avoided at what can be a difficult time. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, your family will be shielded from having to deal with complex and time-consuming matters.
The Executor can be a member of your family or a close friend. They will not be able to charge a fee for their services but they will be able to recoup out of pocket expenses.
By appointing Killik & Co as your professional executor in your will, this incorporates an authority to charge fees for our service as detailed in our rate card.
