An Executor
An Executor is the person or body you select to deal with the administration of your estate.
The Executor’s duties are far reaching, ranging from responsibility for the immediate post-death formalities of your estate, as well as accounting to the beneficiaries in a timely manner. Where necessary, they will be responsible for settling any Inheritance Tax, Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax liabilities, as well as the sale and distribution of any assets, including the family home and its contents.
These actions will all be the responsibility of the Executor.
The Service
When writing your Will, you can state that Killik & Co are to be your Executors, either solely, jointly or in reserve (i.e. if no other person appointed wishes, or is able to act).
