We require a Tax & Trustee Services Administrator, on a fixed-term, maternity cover contract, to prepare and submit trust and personal tax returns by HMRC’s deadline, to assist with the maintenance of the capital gains tax software and checking of annual reports. We also require administrative support for Trusts, Attorneyships, Probate and ISA areas as required.

Key Accountabilities

Trust Tax Return Service
• Completion and submission of trust tax returns
• Liaising with trustees regarding tax return information and liabilities
• Making payments to HMRC
• Keeping a database of tax returns completed and new business received
• Registration of new trusts/estates on the Trust Registration Service
• Monitoring the applications for LEIs (for new trusts)
Personal Tax Return Service
• Completion and submission of personal tax returns
• Corresponding with clients
• Making payments to HMRC
Capital Gains Tax
• Checking annual reports for accuracy
• Maintenance of CGT system
• Checking accuracy of data for CGT software
Trust & Attorneyship Administration
• Checking annual reviews
• Making regular payments
• Liaising with families/beneficiaries
Miscellaneous
• Monitoring shared mailboxes for Trusts, Tax, Probate and ISAs
• Covering probate administration during busy periods
• Covering ISA administration during busy periods
• Covering QI administration when required

Qualifications/Experience Required

Demonstrable experience of working with personal tax
Administrative experience in a corporate setting
Accounting experience is desirable but not essential

Contractual Hours

9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Part time candidates also encouraged (minimum 21 hours per week)
