Tax Advisor

Ipswich

We require a Tax Advisor to deal with the UK personal tax affairs of individuals, estates and trusts, and assist with the Firm’s annual reporting (CTCs and CGT reports).

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for managing a book of personal tax clients for individuals, sole traders and trusts;
  • Completion of tax returns, ensuring they are submitted by the January deadline;
  • Advising clients on their tax liabilities/repayments and ensuring that requested payments are made;
  • Raising invoices and drawing any fees due in respect of all taxation fees due, keeping necessary records and reviewing debtors;
  • Setting up and maintaining client records on the taxation system;
  • Manually calculate client’s Capital Gains Tax positions, maintaining the data in the CGT system, and updating the Investment Managers as required;
  • Assist with the production of annual tax reports;
  • Provide technical support to other areas of the business as required;
  • Making referrals to the Wealth Planning and/or Investment Management teams as appropriate; and
  • Keep up to date with tax changes and sharing this knowledge with the team and wider business as appropriate.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • At least 12 months experience of working with UK personal tax in a commercial environment
  • A broad understanding of UK personal tax
  • Ability to work under pressure/prioritise workloads
  • Experience of managing a book of clients would be beneficial
 

Contractual Hours

9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
