Content Marketing Manager

We require a Content Marketing Manager to manage the development and delivery of effective and efficient content marketing strategies, plans and content execution that support the end-to-end client journey from attraction, through acquisition, conversion, onboarding, retention and long-term client engagement for Killik & Co.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the coordination of print and digital copy for core services and business documents, where necessary convening experts from within the business and outside agencies/specialists to enable production of materials that support (a test & learn approach to) acquisition and client engagement;
  • Work across the Marketing team to develop timely and relevant content that can be used in online and offline campaigns and partnerships, providing copy and content (e.g. advertorials, native content hooks, landing pages, webinar discussion points) and ensuring a clear tone of voice which is consistently applied across channels and formats;
  • Take an analytical approach to overseeing the performance of key content campaigns and key content assets, so that they can be continually evolved and improved, as well as supporting our overarching content strategy;
  • Work closely with the business to understand needs for content in support of the four stages of our prospect-to-client journey (Introduction to Killik & Co brochure, pitch deck, proposal and welcome comms etc);
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team and harnessing analytical insights on content performance at the top of the funnel, to optimise our content production, grow reach, lead conversion and ultimately conversion to client;
  • Work closely with CRM Marketing Manager and Research/Middle Office teams, to develop content to support key client comms programmes and campaigns (such as First 12m programme, maturing JISAs and other key life moments specific to client needs and our services);
  • Work closely with Sponsorship & Events Manager to ensure content strategies are deployed through our virtual/physical events channels and amplified appropriately in other channels to drive acquisition and engagement;
  • Create and own a holistic content calendar for Killik & Co, liaising as appropriate with other content-producing teams and ensuring that insight about what works best across channels and themes is sourced and shared; and
  • Manage/support external parties (ad hoc as required), including audio/visual production, PR agencies and others to deliver a tone of voice and core content campaigns that support broader Marketing plans, business strategy and objectives that build our presence across channels.

Competencies / Skillset

  • Ability to coordinate a dynamic and complex content calendar, keeping key stakeholders up to date, aligned and highlighting potential gaps/opportunities;
  • Lead and execute content creation from brief to publication;
  • Experience managing (and potentially a network of quality) 3rd parties within FS content production;
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Killik & Co culture and brand, embodying who Killik & Co is and conveying this to our audience and partners;
  • Ability to write consistent and compelling copy for Killik & Co and to edit existing content in a variety of formats
  • Excellent time management and the ability to plan, setting realistic timetables and deadlines to achieve agreed objectives;
  • Set and establish clear objectives and performance indicators for projects that are in line with department objectives and priorities;
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data to identify potential improvements to content strategy and plan then put these in place;

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Understanding of the financial services market highly preferable, ideally wealth management/wealth planning or similar;
  • Excellent commissioning, writing, editing skills, from tone of voice; attention to detail; spelling and grammar etc.
  • Externally focused – observant of trends and themes that are emerging in the content marketing space, and focused on bringing this insight into the organization to improve our approach;
  • Excellent ability to manage complex projects and work across teams;
  • Ability to clearly structure and develop ideas, thought processes and presentations;
  • Independent, flexible and curious; and
  • Hands on experience of SEO would be beneficial.

Contractual Hours

9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
