Managed Portfolio
If you have a minimum of £100,000 in an equity portfolio and you want to leave the day-to-day running of your portfolio to your Broker, you have two options. You can choose between Discretionary Stockbroking, a personal preference approach to managing your investments, or you can opt for our structured Managed Portfolio Service.
Our Managed Portfolio Service takes your personal circumstances into full consideration and develops a strategy around your hopes and ambitions.
Based on this agreed investment strategy, we will use our own "top down" asset allocation strategy to put together an investment plan, that we will discuss with you. Having done so, and always mindful of the agreed investment plan, we will manage your assets broadly in line with our "top down" asset allocation strategy, but leaving the "bottom up" choice of individual securities to your Broker. As a consequence, the most important sectors of the market will be covered off, under our Managed Service.
Each time we make a change to your portfolio we will write to you explaining the investment reasons for doing so. You will also receive a twice yearly valuation keeping you closely informed on the progress of your portfolio.
Risk factors
The Managed Portfolio Service is a structured approach to investment management. Your portfolio is designed to provide diversified returns to meet your investment objective, however the value of your investments and the income from them may vary and you may realise less than the sum invested. If you wish to generate capital growth this may require higher levels of equity investment and this may be subject to short term volatility. Please refer to our Managed Portfolio brochure for more information on the benefits and risks.
